NPR on Al-Qaida Magazine

7.19.2010

Intrigued by the headline "Al-Qaida Magazine Draws Attention, But Few Fans," I clicked on a link to NPR about the all new Al-Qaida Magazine. Not even two paragraphs in and I can confirm Dina Temple-Raston doesn't know a much about print publications. The second paragraph starts off...

Here's the problem: An online publication cannot be glossy. Or matte, or coated, or with a varnish, or etc. Unless you have drenched your monitor with a hefty dose of furniture polish, it will not be glossy.

Exception: If you print out the magazine on glossy paper! Oooooh! Ahhhhh!
